Our Director, Dr. Josef J. Geldwert is Board Certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a recognized authority on the most advanced surgical techniques to correct bunions and hammertoes. His associate in practice, Dr. Katherine Lai is Board Certified in Foot Surgery and has lectured extensively on The Diabetic Foot and Wound Care and on the Scope and Practice of Holistic Podiatry at an Integrative Medicine conference.

After completing his undergraduate degree at Yeshiva University, Dr. Josef J. Geldwert attended New York College of Podiatric Medicine earning his D.P.M. in 1973.  Dr. Geldwert completed his Podiatric Surgical Residency at Northlake Community Hospital, Northlake, Illinois.

After completing her undergraduate degree at SUNY Albany, Dr. Sherri Greene attended the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine earning her degree in 1991.

Dr. Greene completed her Podiatric surgical residency at Springfield and Frankford Hospitals in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After being in private practice for several years Dr. Greene was introduced and became fascinated with alternative and complementary medicine. On her own healing journey she began to discover that Western medicine alone wasn't solving various chronic conditions of the body. She began to understand that true healing must incorporate the body, mind and spirit.

Dr. Greene has studied many different healing techniques and modalities over the years and will utilize these tools along with the traditional practice of Podiatry on a case by case basis. Her holistic approach to the field of Podiatry adds a unique and refreshing approach to healing the feet as well as the whole body, mind and spirit.

She is excited to be joining the Center for Podiatric Care and Sports Medicine as a new associate.

Dr. Silver received her undergraduate degree from Boston University before completing her doctorate degree at New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where she graduated magna cum laude.  She then completed her surgical residency at West Essex General Hospital.  Dr. Silver was in private practice for 18 years before joining the Center for Podiatric Care and Sports Medicine as our newest associate.

Dr. Silver's podiatric interests include both general and cosmetic podiatry.  She specializes in nonsurgical aesthetic foot care to help feet look and feel their best without going under the knife.  Many patients who are insecure about the appearance of their feet seek cosmetic treatments to help get feet ready for sandal season in the spring and summer months.
